Ambush story

 Today we read a story called Ambush by Tim O´Brien. I learned that in the story the main character killed another person but in his mind he had mixed feelings about it. It impacted me because in the discussion questions some of them asked what would you do if you were in those shoes. I will use this knowledge to make smart decisions in the future. I feel tired today.

A time I had speak in front of an audience was when I presented my full name to the class. I didn't have any fears other than speaking to twenty people in the classroom. I handled it by relaxed, not being too rushy and trying the best I could to speak clearly and not mumble. Some advice I would give to someone when it's their first time is before they go up, take a deep breath, I 'll tell them you got this, and go break a leg.

Aug 30: Vocabulary Lesson One Practice

 Today we wrote down sentences for the fifteen vocab words. After that, we completed Exercise one which included filling in the blanks to sentences. Next, we did the same thing with Exercise three. We still had to fill in the blank spaces for exercise three. I learned new words that I have never heard before. I plan to use this knowledge for the Tuesday quiz. I´m feeling tired cause the weekend is almost near.
