Argument

 Today we took notes on Logos, Ethos, and Pathos. I learned that there are different sides to arguments. It impacted me because I´ve seen ads in the past that my freshman, sophmore, and middle school teachers showed our class because we had to choose sides if it was logos, ethos, and pathos. I will use this knowledge for each argument and determine which is which. I feel tired today.

NEWSELA Article

 Today we are reading a NEWSELA article on ¨The precautions you should take before consulting Dr. Google.¨ I learned that you should not look up sources on google for medical advice. It impacted me because when I have an issue I go to a doctor instead of looking up on google the nearest doctor. I plan to use this knowledge, because when I have an issue I can go to a skilled and professional doctor and talk to him or her about it. I am feeling ok today. The precautions you should take before consulting "Dr. Google"

Vocab words

 Today we wrote down 15 vocab words, definitions, synonyms & antonyms, and write sentences with the word in them. I learned new vocab words. It impacted me because I can use these words when I am talking to people. I can use this knowledge when there are tests and quizzes, I can study the vocab words. I feel good today.

Proofreading essay

 Today each group gave their own typed up rough draft to a member in each group of four. We as a class wrote down feedback for the other person to use for the next draft. I learned that getting feedback from a friend is helpful when writing an essay. It impacted me because hearing what my friend said and him or her giving me tips on what I can do better on the next draft will really make my writing look professional. I plan to use this knowledge for future essays that I either write or type. I felt tired today. 

Typing and Proofreading our First Draft

Today we had a sub and we typed up our first draft, proofread it, and made changes of our goals this year. I learned how that making changes to my first draft makes my writing sound better when you read it. It impacted me because when I change my writing, it sounds way better and looks more professional. I plan to use this knowledge to make changes in my writing so that when you read it, it was not written by a little kid, it was by a professional writer. I feel tired and ok today. 

Typing First Draft

Today we typed up our first draft of our goals this year. I learned how that making changes to my first draft makes my writing sound better when you read it. Writing Intro and Concluding paragraph

Today we wrote our introduction and conclusion paragraph from our writing prompt of our goals. I learned how to format our paragraphs to make it easier to write. It impacted me because with this format it will help write 5 paragraph papers a lot easier. I plan to use this information with any class and use the same format each time to make it easy and stick with it. I am feeling tired and almost happy for the weekend.

Third Paragraph of the Writing Prompt

Today we wrote our third paragraph on our goal to accomplish or to achieve. I learned strategies on how I can accomplish specific goals including making straight As. It impacted me because I know I can focus on the tiny details including studying, attending class, and turning in all assignments on time that will help pass with As. I plan to use these tools of information and use it in the future for anything that gets thrown at me by the teacher. I feel exhausted and tired today.

Writing prompt

 Today we drew out a writing prompt and from there we took two goals from the prompt and we wrote a body paragraph about that goal. I learned my goals that I can achieve for the future. It impacted me because I believe I can accomplish those goals. I plan to use this knowledge and achieve the goals that I set out for me to do. I am feeling good today.  

The Writing Process

 Today, we wrote down and discussed the five stages in the writing process on a sheet of paper. We flipped over the back of the paper and drew a brainstorm web. I learned how to organize and breakdown an essay the easiest way possible. It impacted me because I have written essays like this format, but they were not that good. I plan to use this knowledge to help me write better essays in the future. I am feeling tired today but overall good.

Emily Dickinson Quotes Part 2 4,5,6,8,9,10,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20

Today, we got a list of quotes on paper and the instructions, which there were five. First one was to copy the quote word for word in quotations. Next was to analyze the quote. After that, we had to determine the topic of the quote in one word. Next, was to state the theme. Lastly, determine the conflict of the quote. I learned what each quote meant. It impacted me because I can you use these quotes to motivate me physically and mentally in the future. I plan to use this knowledge to strive for goal to reach in the future. I am feeling ok about the pouches. It´s not messing with my brain. It´s more of a ¨oh no, no phone"and just move on about my day. I don´t really think about my phone that much to be honest.

 Today we took a quiz on the 15 A words plus 5 questions on the words. Next, we talked about a poem called ¨Success is counted sweetest¨ by Emily Dickinson. We wrote down the two themes of the story. After that we wrote down our definition of success. Next, we wrote down our own story about how success and failure work together and connect to the poem. I learned how success and failure can work together. It impacted me because I could share a story on how success works with failure. I plan to use this knowledge as a mental thing and always pick myself up when I´m feeling down or a negative emotion. I´m feeling tired because now I have to get back to school routine.
